If you are a sole proprietor of your business and do business by yourself and you are not incorporated with the state, you qualify to file the “schedule C” within your 1040 tax form.

Q. - I am self employed, how can I report my Income and Expenses?
A. - For Tax purposes you are considerate an Independent Contractor and if your employer request your ss# or company EIN, you probably will receive a 1099-MISC form; this will be some forms of income. If you do not receive this form, your other proof of income is the records of cash, checks or credit card payments that you keep in your bookkeeping system.

Q. - What is the limit of expenses I can deduct from my own business?
A. - When taking deductions on your tax return, there is no a standard amount to deduct. Your deduction is what you actually spent and have supporting documentation as proof of the expense.
